Lake Merced Golf Club - Daly City, CA
In July of 1923, Lake Merced Golf Club would open for play. Originally designed by Willie Lock, the course's bunkers would be redesigned by Alister Mackenzie in 1929. In the 1960's Robert Muir Graves would re-route the course and in 1996 Rees Jones would revise the course again.
While the course has stayed current with the game's professional demands, it has hosted a number of top notch tournaments. Most notably the 1990 US Amateur, which marked the USGA debut of Tiger Woods. Recently in 2016, it hosted the LPGA's Swinging Skirts tournament.
