Madison Club - La Quinta, CA
It wasn't long after I first heard of The Madison Club that I heard about the 5 pound round. The deal here is that with the course's many "comfort stations" you can easily gain 5 pounds just by playing golf here. I made a quick list of the things I consumed.
- 2 egg sausage link sandwich things
- 2 Powerade zeros
- Jelly Beans.. lots of Jelly Beans
- Handful of nuts
- 2 Kobe beef sliders
- Diet Dr Pepper
- A handful of Madison beef jerky
- No less than 25 chocolate covered banana chips
- 1 Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
- Gummy Bears
- 1 potato chip (cutting back)
- Diet Coke
And oh yeah, the golf course is fantastic as well. It is clearly one of Tom Fazio's finest and at times reminded me of the efforts he made out at Shadow Creek.
