Mayacama Golf Club - Santa Rosa, CA

Mayacama is built on the former estate of Charles Schulz, the American cartoonist responsible for the Peanuts comic strip.  Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this is one of the bay area's and Jack Nicklaus' best courses.  Boasting a slope of 150 and measuring only 6800 yards from the tips, Mayacama requires precision not power.

Just about every hole is a head turner and the course is a lot of fun to play.  It was pouring down rain when i finally got a chance at it, so the pictures are of lower quality.  In an ode to the land's former owner, they handed out Peanuts labeled umbrellas for us to use.

Update:  On a return visit to Mayacama in 2017, the picture gallery has been updated to better show the course.  The rain still came again, this time it didn't start until about the 16th hole.
