Rams Hill Golf Club - Borrego Springs, CA

On my way out to Ram's Hill, I would tweet that it looked like as if I was headed to the scene of the horror film "The Hills Have Eyes."  Although it is a drive to Rams Hill, the only horrors that you could potentially find would be the 8's on your scorecard.

The original course was a 27 hole facility that was replaced by the 2007 Tom Fazio Montesoro Golf & Social Club.  Unfortunately, It wouldn't be long before the course would be left for dead due to financing concerns with it's previous owners.  In 2010, the course closed down.  But like the old saying goes, "You can't keep a good golf course down" and the course made a resurgence in 2014.  The public would rejoice and in 2016, it would be rated the best golf course in America by GolfAdvisor.

After making 9 consecutive pars to start my round, I decided to pile on a double on #10.  That double would light a birdie fire in my pants and I would score 3 nice birdies on that back nine as I would steer the ship back to even par.  I even managed to roll in a nice 6 footer on 18 to save my par.  There are few things better than finishing up a round with a nice putt.
