Sandpiper Golf Club - Santa Barbara, CA

Having heard a lot of positive things about Sandpiper, we were really looking forward to our round.  After paying a rather steep greens fee, I found the front nine to have a rather pedestrian and municipal feel to it.  I was feeling a little underwhelmed until the stretch of holes from 10-14.  You will find most of the photos in the gallery are from that stretch of holes.  I managed to come out of the gates hot with an eagle on #1 but sputtered down the stretch for a 75.

The site of the course was actually used for crude oil production back in the 1930's.  Today it produces mostly smiles from the happy golfers.
