The First Tee of Seattle
It took me a while to learn some of the lessons that The First Tee teaches golfers at a young age. The game of golf eventually found me and taught me some of the values that I cherish the most. However, I don't believe every young golfer is quite as fortunate as I was. That is why The RGV Tour aims to give these kids the opportunity and resources they need at a young age to accomplish what they want to in golf and life.
The First Tee of Greater Seattle positively impacts the lives of young people by building character, instilling life-enhancing values and promoting healthy choices through the game of golf. With all that the game of golf has given me, I feel it's important to start giving back. I have had the pleasure of spending some time with Evan and the students out there and I believe that golf is a better game because of operations like this. Learn more at their website.
The goal is to raise $10k for The First Tee of Greater Seattle. With this money, they will provide kids the tools and guidance on how to enjoy the game. It's a gift that they may not have had otherwise. At the beginning of the tour, we visited The First Tee in Seattle to kick things off. Get the full scoop on the visit on this great piece from Aaron Levine on Q it up Sports.
On August 8th, 2018 it became official. The RGV Tour had met it's original goal of raising $10,000 for the First Tee of Greater Seattle. It was a huge milestone and it came with 5 months to go. We have re aligned and doubled the goal for the return trip. Let's make $20k happen!!

As the RGV Tour neared it’s final few golf courses, we roared across the new and improved $20,000 goal. We doubled the original donation goal just days before the finale event at Bandon Dunes.
We were going to get one of those big fake checks and present it in style. Even in my wildest dreams, I wouldn’t have envisioned a check ceremony this spectacular.
