The Links at Bodega Harbour - Bodega Bay, CA

The Links at Bodega Harbour was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr with the back nine opening for play in 1978.  It wasn't until 1987 that the front nine would be added.  Most recently, the course underwent a redesign in 2008 that reshaped the bunkers and added bentgrass greens.

While the wife was out of town, I decided to go for 36 out in Bodega Bay.  With a handful of holes providing spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, I was glad I did.  The 7th hole is a 215 yard par 3 and was the site of near glory for me.  With a group backed up on the 8th tee box, I hit my tee shot right at the stick.  I heard some screaming from the group watching  my shot and for a second I thought it had went in for an ace.  After reaching the green, the group in front informed me that my ball had lipped out.  I tapped in for a 2.  You will also want to stick around until the back nine as the finishing 3 holes really stand out from the rest.
