Wing Point Golf and Country Club - Bainbridge Island, WA

For my first round of golf as a Washington resident, I was warmly welcomed to the state by fellow golf photographer Mike Seidl.  You can check out his work on his website or give him a follow on Instagram handle at mikeseidlphotography.  Being a Wing Point club champion himself, Mike brought along a couple of other current and ex champions for our round.  Pretty sure I came in dead last with a 78.

As the only real option for championship golf on Seattle's Bainbridge Island, the original layout was designed in 1903.  The course was recently redesigned by Jack Frei (Desert Canyon) in 1990.  Although just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course retains plenty of challenge and requires plenty of strategic decisions.  Wing Point Golf Club also remains in great shape year round handling the Seattle rains with an excellent drainage program.

Thanks for the welcome to Washington, Mike.
