Vessel Lite Lux

There are few golf bags on the market that really tickle my golf fancy. But when the Vessel Lite Lux bag hit the market, I knew we had a serious contender. Since my specific list of golf bag requirements is demanding and not often in line with other golfers, this was a rare opportunity to find my perfect match. To help you understand my potential compatibility with the Vessel Lite Lux bag, we need to break down my priorities and then assess the Vessel’s capabilities in a 3 phase approach. Only then will you be fully able to assess your current situation.

Phase 1: Koenig’s Mandatory Golf Bag Requirements.

  • Stand Bag that actually stands

  • Needs between 4-7 pockets

  • Needs dual strap system

  • Must have 4 slot system for storing golf clubs

  • Needs to be light in weight

  • Obligatory dead sexy appearance

In addition to my 14 clubs here are the items that I need to put into my bag. I like to keep it clean and simple just like my golf game.

Phase 2: Koenig’s Mandatory Golf Bag items.

Ball markers, divot tools, @pjkoenig golf tees, and range finder.

Business cards, golf balls, and pain medication.

Phase 3: Break down of Vessel features and Koenig compatibility.

The good news is that the Vessel Lite Lux bag comes in at 4.5 pounds and meets all of my mandatory requirements. It even has a tidy little spot for each of my mandatory golf items which we will break down below. In addition to looking good against a rocky beach wall it also provides some bonus amenities.

  • Patented Rotator Stand System for maximum stability - I can confirm that the PRSS is legitimate.

  • Patented Equilibrium 2.0 convertible strap - Equilibrium has been fully achieved.

  • Magnetic velour-lined rangefinder pocket - I love magnetic pockets and this one is extra handy for range finder placement.

  • Cooler-lined water bottle sleeve - Not a huge plus for me. But I know some folks love it.

  • Waterproof personals pocket - My ball marks and divot tools go in this one. I interchange them with my wallet and keys for play.

  • Large garment compartment - Great for my substantial collection of quarter zips or QZ’s. This pocket also has a secret compartment which is perfect for storing my lesser used items (Advil & business card holder).

  • Dual-purpose bottle opener / towel ring - I chose to hang my boom box off of this bad boy.

  • 3-point personalization: ball pocket, left & right pockets - Balls and tees go in these two. My stupid face front & center.

  • All-weather, matching rain hood - You can golf in a full out rain storm with this boss.

  • Umbrella holder -

  • Pen holder - I call it the quick draw doodle holster.

It is early on our relationship, but this Vessel Lite Lux bag might just be my favorite golf bag that I have ever owned. It looks great and just like Sullivan's famous axiom it’s exquisite form only follows it’s function.
