Half Moon Bay Golf Links - Half Moon Bay, CA
Two very different, yet, enjoyable courses are in store for you at Half Moon Bay: the Ocean and the Old Course. The Ocean offers more of an American links experience while the Old Course serves up a traditional parkland experience. You are not allowed to walk the Old Course, which in my opinion, is a big drawback.
The Old Course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1973 and features an 18th hole that is one of my favorite golf holes in the world. With a crowd often looking on from the hotel patio, you can get some compliments from the gallery if you finish strong.
The Ocean Course was designed by Arthur Hills and opened 24 years later in 1997. In one of my more notable 9 holes of golf, I made two eagles (#13, #18), two birdies (#10,#12), and 5 pars for a back nine 30! I was also fortunate enough to be playing in a skins game at the time and won a bunch of money. GOLF!!!
