Whenever someone asks what I do for a living, i get a little excited before I proudly exclaim that I am a golf course photographer. The responses vary, but my enthusiasm for my profession never strays. Golf has taken me to some magical places over the years and 2025 was no different. Even with the addition of baby Holliday, I still managed to practice my craft far and wide. Here are my favorite photographic moments on the golf course from the year 2025.
#11 - Yelling Timber at Timber Point
I was covering the remaining golf courses on Long island to complete the forthcoming book, The Golf Courses of Long Island when I stumbled into a crispy morning sunrise and one of my favorite photographs of 2025. Unlike many courses on Long Island, Timber Point is public and anyone can tee it up here.
#10: Westhampton Country Club
As I continued my journey to photograph all of the courses on Long Island, I paid a visit to one of my favorite long island designs and clearly one of the most unique. Westhampton Country Club is Seth Raynor’s very first design effort and it is spectacular. Just look at the bunkering surrounding the alps hole! The punch bowl green is also one of the most ornate bunker designs in the history of design..
#9 - A Moment at Portsalon Golf Club
After i finished up the 18th hole at Portsalon golf club, I ran into a fellow photographer named Kevin Markham. Even though it had been cloudy all day long, we decided to hang out for the sunset in hopes that we would get several licks of sunshine. Fortunately, we would get about 15 minutes of the good stuff and the results were glorious. You can check out my entire visit to Ireland here.
#8 - Concord Country Club
This beautiful Donald Ross design flies under the radar in the golf dense area of Boston. Fortunately, the members don’t seem to mind one bit as they are some of the nicest folks that I have head the pleasure of meeting in the Boston area. Discover every hole at Concord CC here.
#7 - A Lexus US Open Experience at Oakmont
For the past several years, Lexus has been kind enough to bring me to a handful of US Opens, a visit to Oakmont was perhaps the most noteworthy experience. With just about every golf influencer under the sun making the trip, we turned Oakmont into an internet and influencing playground. Full story is here.
#6- Gamble Sands - Scarecrow
The golf resort at Gamble Sands has expanded with a second championship offering from David McLay Kidd. Fortunately, I was one of the first photographers to get a chance to shine a light on the latest creation. This place is a total playground and I couldn’t get enough. Check out every hole on Scarecrow here.
#5 - Party at St Patricks
Tom Doak built one of the world’s finest designs and Ireland’s latest addition to the world top 100 in 2021. More importantly, it had my name in the title. It was bound to be a glorious engagement and s expected, the results were extraordinary. Full Irish trip can be found here.
#4: Snapping Shots at Streamsong
Streamsong keeps getting bigger and better and is now one of America’s finest golfing destinations. With the addition of a fourth course coming in the Fall of 2026, the resort is heading into elite territory. I was fortunate to coordinate a photography shoot for the marketing team.
#3: Midland Hills
It was an honor and a pleasure to be assigned the task of photographing one of the most under appreciated golf courses in the Seth Raynor portfolio. Although not widely recognized, many of the golf holes at Midland should be celebrated simlarly to some of Raynor’s other efforts. You can walk the fairways with me here.
#2: Inwood Country Club
There is something special happening on the ground and in the air at Inwood Country Club. Perhaps it is the club’s history or the friendly membership and staff. Whatever your conclusion is, Inwood has got the “IT factor.” Given it’s close proximity to JFK airport, “Drone-ald Ross” had to remain on the ground, which meant I had to grind extra hard to capture the beauty of this special place. You can find the full report here
#1: Farm Neck Golf Club
From the ridiculous 70’s themed house that I rented on Martha’s Vineyard to the ice cream downtown, I loved everything about this photoshoot. The fine folks at Farm Neck could not have been nicer and the golf course could not have been more interesting. After a recent renovation, I was proud to showcase the beauty of the premier public course on Martha’s Vineyard. You can ready the full story here.
