In June of 2025, I had the chance to create some marketing materials for Streamsong Resort. This would be my fourth visit to the resort and my excitement to visit was still at peak levels. After spending several days on the property, I came to the conclusion that the resort has finally transformed into one of the finest golf destinations in America. The Chain, a new par 3 course from Coore & Crenshaw, has brought everything together. It’s not just a small plot of land with some pins. The Chain is one of the best par 3 courses in the country.
“There is some real golf out there.”
Streamsong already has three championship golf courses at the resort. The Red, Blue and Black courses are respectively designed by Coore & Crenshaw, Tom Doak, and Gil Hanse. With a brand new golf course currently being designed by David McLay-Kidd, Streamsong has a portfolio that rivals the lineup at Bandon Dunes. The hunt for marketing materials was sure to be fun and beautiful. Please enjoy my favorite 5 images from Streamsong.
A Punchbowl Sunset
The 9th hole on the Black course is perhaps the most iconic hole at Streamsong. Most of the photographs focus on the spectacular windmill that serves as an aiming point for golfers as they approach the green. I found this angle to utilize the sun more effectively while really showing off the undulations of the punch bowl design.
An Off the Chain Sunrise
Both sunsets and sunrises on The Chain are something special, but this particular morning was truly off the chain. Horrible puns aside, it was hard to pick my favorite photograph from The Chain as there are so many holes that photograph quite beautifully. Coore & Crenshaw have done a masterful job at creating 19 par 3’s that would be a premier hole on any full bodied championship test.
Cart Tracks on Red
I can’t sit here and tell you that the cart tracks on this fairway don’t drive me absolutely bonkers. One can only hope that the maintenance worker bombing down the fairway at 5 in the morning appreciated this spectacular sunrise as much as I did.
Par 3 Party
There is something magical about a short par 3. The architect is freed up to provide a creative defense against an easy par. In this instance, a series of stunning and treacherous bunkers have been designed to intimidate the approaching golfer. A potential hole-in-one provides a glimmer of hope that perfection is just moments away. The morning sun and this photograph was the closest I would come to greatness.
Windmills and High Fives
A good golf photograph does a great job at capturing the experience of playing the golf course. This photograph does exactly that. The Streamsong experience is not only beautiful but at its very best when shared with friends. Book your Streamsong Resort visit today and create your own magic. I can’t guarantee that your photographs will be this good, but your experience is certain to be grand.
